Artificial Intelligence and Multimedia Technology in Medical Diagnosis
Description
Medical diagnosis is necessary to identify a disease or injury through the signs and symptoms presented. Accurate diagnoses collect data from sources such as medical history and physical examination and tests like blood, CT or MRI scans, and biopsies, among others. Technological advances aid the medical industry and are transforming healthcare by reducing the complexity of diagnosis. Artificial intelligence (AI) supports specialists in the diagnosis of patients precisely with advanced methods that can recognize in-depth knowledge from multimedia information on the patient.
Diagnostic and management challenges remain an issue in healthcare and incorrect diagnoses must be reduced. Accurate diagnosis of chronic diseases like cancer and heart arrhythmia, critical findings in imaging, forecasting stroke, and identifying health-threatening cases are all critical issues that pose a high risk to human health and must be resolved. Artificial intelligence (AI) and multimedia technology can aid medical diagnosis by improving decision making, management, and automation. In order to efficiently reduce the difficulties faced by the healthcare industry and to provide quality care to the patients, AI-based advancements are in huge demand, including innovative algorithms, applications, analytics, machine learning, computer vision, and neural networks.
This Special Issue outlines the significance of improving accurate and timely medical diagnosis to increase survival and positive health outcomes. AI and multimedia technology play a key role in increasing the reliability of diagnosis with evolving tools, treatment management, and efficiency. Developing artificial intelligence techniques to diagnose numerous diseases, reduce human errors, improve clinical outcomes, and improve medical services is essential.
