(c) The cells have a low nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio with small and smooth-border nuclei; some have optic clearing corresponding to biotin-rich nuclei. (d) Squamoid morules are syncytium of bland meningothelial-like, nonkeratinizing spindle cells with a whorling pattern. They lack discernible intercellular bridges, unlike real squamous metaplasia (hematoxylin-eosin stain, original magnification 40x (a), 100x (b), 400x (c), and 100x (d)).
