Alizarin red staining of multilayered scaffolds. Electrospun PDO and PDO:nHA scaffolds were stacked on top of each other to get 2 or 4 layers. One group was compressed first (C1M2) and mineralized as multilayered scaffold while the other group was mineralized as individual sheets and compressed into a single unit (C2M1) after SBF treatment. Following incubation, scaffolds were washed and stained for calcium using Alizarin red staining as described in Section 2.
