The treatment yielded higher extension and impact resistance. At 40% of fiber with 50°C exhibited moderate level of moisture absorption compared to other treatments.
The treated fiber exhibited higher tensile strength and moisture resistance than those treated with silane, permanganate, and sodium chloride treatment. Higher smooth fiber surface was observed.
At higher concentration, grafting was increased due to higher availability of monomer molecules in cellulose radicals as well as polymerization medium.
