1D Confocal Broad Area Semiconductor Lasers (Confocal BALs) for Fundamental Transverse Mode Selection (TMS#0)

Laser characteristics of a confocal BAL with 64 μm wide constriction just to show that the lasers are of very good quality. The laser threshold is at 1.2 A, and the output power per facet shows values around 60 mW for a pump current of about 16% above threshold.
