The current distortion factor in per unit versus the total number of branches, 𝑛 for two cases: (a) initial voltage 𝑉_𝑜=𝑉_𝑚, that is, 𝑧=1 and the switching angle 𝛼=90^∘. (b) initial voltage 𝑉_𝑜=0, that is, 𝑧=0 and the switching angle 𝛼=0^∘. In both cases, the compensator size is 𝛾=0.104 per unit.
