Adaptation to the high salt environment of HvoPCNA [20]. (b) The HvoPCNA binding pocket (top) shows a reduction in hydrophobic character and in depth of the binding pocket compared to AfuPCNA (bottom). The surfaces are coloured according to the Kyte-Doolittle scale with blue indicating the most hydrophilic residues through to orange for the most hydrophobic residues.
