Expression, Purification, and Characterization of (R)-Sulfolactate Dehydrogenase (ComC) from the Rumen Methanogen Methanobrevibacter millerae SM9

Effect of pH on the specific activity of ComC in the reduction reaction. Two buffers were used; ○ = 50 mM citrate buffer and ● = 50 mM BTP. Other assay conditions were standard; 37°C and 400 mM KCl. Assays were carried out in at least triplicate. One unit of activity (U) is defined as the conversion of one μmol of NADH to NAD⁺ per minute under standard assay conditions.
