Expression, Purification, and Characterization of (<i>R</i>)-Sulfolactate Dehydrogenase (ComC) from the Rumen Methanogen <i>Methanobrevibacter millerae</i> SM9

<div>Michaelis-Menten plots for ComC. Michaelis-Menten plots were used to calculate kinetic parameters. The respective Lineweaver-Burk plots are inset. Standard assay conditions in the reduction reaction were used; 400 mM KCl, pH 6.5, and 37°C. Assays were carried out in triplicate. One unit of activity (U) is defined as the conversion of one <i>μ</i>mol of NADH to NAD<sup>+</sup> per minute under standard assay conditions.</div>
