Poly-ADP Ribosyl Polymerase 1 (PARP1) Regulates Influenza A Virus Polymerase

<div>PARP1 remains in the nucleus in cells infected with influenza A virus. Human HeLa cells were infected with low-path, avian-derived influenza virus strain A/Viet Nam/1203/04 (H5N1) HALo (MOI = 0.5). Infected cell cultures were fixed for immunofluorescence 3h.p.i. and 12h.p.i. with anti-PARP (<i>red</i>) and anti-NP (<i>green</i>), and DAPI chromatin counterstaining indicating cell nuclei (<i>blue</i>).</div>
