Selective Migration of Subpopulations of Bone Marrow Cells along an SDF-1α and ATP Gradient

Diminished stem cell populations after spontaneous migration may not be explained by marker internalization. Intracellular multicolor flow cytometric analyses were performed on BM-TNC after isolation (“fresh”), after cultivation (“incubation control”), or on BM-TNC retrieved from lower Boyden chamber after cultivation for 24 h (“spontaneous migration”).
