Expression and Purification of Active Recombinant Cathepsin C (Dipeptidyl Aminopeptidase I) of Kuruma Prawn <i>Marsupenaeus japonicus</i> in Insect Cells

<table>Schematic presentation of the rCTSC precursor encoded by pIB/CTSC1. The deduced amino acid sequence comprises of 449 amino acid residues with calculated molecular masses as below: signal peptide (SP): 18aa, 1.9 kDa; propeptide: 201aa, 23 kDa, and matured peptide: 230aa, 26 kDa  with heavy chain: 163aa, 19 kDa, and light chain: 67aa, 7 kDa, respectively. The 6-histidine tag sequence is fused to the C-terminus of the light chain. The rCTSC precursor encoded by pIB/CTSC2 lacks 18aa of the signal peptide.</table>
