mTERT protects Sca- MSC from oxidative stress induced by high concentrations of . (a) mTERT-MSC show lower susceptibility to apoptosis induced by high concentrations. DNA damage measured as the mean Comet %Tail DNA of control MSC and mTERT-MSC cells treated with high concentrations. Untreated cells were used as negative controls (no damage). The results obtained for the enzyme treatment (hOGG1) were normalized by subtracting the level of %Tail DNA observed with the enzyme-buffer only. The number of cells scored for each sample was 50 and the data are a mean of two experiments. Error bars denote S.E. , MSC versus mTERT-MSC.
