Effect of muscle shortening and force redevelopment on cAMP-dependent force production at pCa 6.3 in permeabilized ABRM. After activation in pCa 6.3 for ∼15 minutes, the muscle was subjected to a quick release of 15% Lo. Force quickly fell to zero and then redeveloped. 100 𝜇M cAMP was then added to the bathing medium, and force decreased. The muscle was then maximally activated in pCa5 in the presence of cAMP.
