The signal peptide probability is determined by the positive polarity of the n-region, the hydrophobicity of the h-region and the uncharged amino acids occupying positions −1 and −3 in the c-region. The cleavage site is located in the c-region and is determined by the physicochemical characteristics and length of the n- and h-regions.
