Frequency of human cells in livers of irradiated (TBI) NOD/SCID mice after hMSC infusion. The frequency of hMSCs engrafted in liver was quantified using a PCR detection of the human β-globin gene in mouse liver from 3 to 60 days after TBI. The hMSC engraftment rate was significantly increased at 30 days in the liver following TBI, when compared to the 15th day.
