Nitric oxide mediated FAK-Akt activation via Cav-1-dependent mechanism. Stable Cav-1 overexpressed (H460/Cav-1) and Cav-1 knockdown (H460/ShCav-1) cell lines were established as indicated in Materials and Methods. (a) The expression level of Cav-1 protein in the control H460, H460/Cav-1, and H460/ShCav-1 cells was determined by Western blotting. (b) The cells were exposed to NO donor for 14 days, and the expression levels of phosphorylated FAK, total FAK, phosphorylated Akt, and total Akt were determined.
