For both treatment plants, 𝑁=25. Detailed results are shown in supplementary data, Figure 𝑆3. BFR (biofilm formation rate), was measured in 2009 according to methods described by Van der Kooij [27]. ATP and TCC were measured monthly at treatment plants during this study.
