MT-II induces formation of LDs in peritoneal macrophages in culture.(a) Effect of selected concentrations of MT-II on formation of LDs in macrophages which were incubated with various concentrations of MT-II or with RPMI (Control) for 1 h. (b) Time-course of MT-II-induced LD formation. Macrophages were incubated with MT-II (0.8 μM) or RPMI (Control) for 1, 3, 6, 12, or 24 h. LDs were quantified using light microscopy after osmium staining. LDs after osmium staining observed in control (c) or in cells stimulated with MT-II (0.8 μM) for 1 h (d), 12 h (e), or 24 h (f). Each bar represents the mean ± S.E.M. of the number of LDs/cell in 50 counted cells.
