Adipose Tissue-Derived Stem Cell Secreted IGF-1 Protects Myoblasts from the Negative Effect of Myostatin
(a) Proliferation of murine myoblasts is shown as percentage after exposure to different myostatin concentrations for 24 h. Increasing concentrations of myostatin were associated with decreased proliferation rate of murine myoblasts. Myoblasts cultured with 1.0 g/mL myostatin for 24 h showed lowest proliferation (33.2%) in comparison to 0.75 g/mL (52.0%), 0.5 g/mL (53.6%), and 0.1 g/mL (90.87%) (, in comparison to control group).
