Comparison of plasma OPN levels between patients with bone disease and those without manifest bone lesions. The plasma concentrations of OPN were significantly higher in patients with bone disease ( , Mann-Whitney test). The upper and lower borders of the box indicate the 75th and 25th percentiles, respectively, and the line in the box represents the median. The ends of the whiskers represent the minimum and maximum of all of the data excluding outliers. Outliers are plotted as individual points.
