Effects of CLF1 on (a) Streptococcus mutans and (b) S. mitis biofilm mass. Biofilms were grown for 24 hours in the presence of CLF1 at different concentrations. The negative control was performed with 8% DMSO and the positive control with chlorhexidine at 31.25 µg/mL, and both are diluted in ultrapure water. Error bars represent standard deviation and statistical value (represented by * or #) indicates concentrations that are significantly different from negative and positive controls, respectively. < 0.001; < 0.001.
