Catalase (CAT) and total superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities in individual prepubertal lamb MII oocytes matured in vitro in presence of VB. Numbers of analyzed oocytes per group are indicated at the bottom of each histogram. Values are expressed as IU/mg protein. Treatment with VB induced a significant increase in CAT activity compared to controls (panel (a); Student’s -test: a, b; ). Total SOD activity did not vary between treated and control groups (panel (b); Student’s -test: NS).
