(a) Total phenolic contents were measured using Folin-Ciocalteu reagent. (b and c) RAW264.7 macrophages were cultured with ethanol extract (SI), methanol fraction (ME), or n-butanol fraction (BU) at the indicated concentrations in the presence of LPS (10 ng/mL) at 37°C for 20 h in a 96-well plate. The nitrite production, an indicator of nitric oxide (NO) synthesis, was determined by the Griess reaction and the cell viability was analyzed by MTT assay. Data represent the mean ± SD of three independent experiments. ^∗∗𝑃<0.01 represents significant differences compared with the vehicle control (without LPS). ^##𝑃<0.01 represents significant differences compared with the LPS-treated vehicle.
