The ATP luminescent cell proliferation assay was used to determine Caco-2 cell proliferation. Control and 0.5% treated cells showed an increase in ATP level, whereas a dose dependent significant () decrease in ATP level was observed in RFRA (R. fairholmianus root acetone) extract treated experimental groups (5, 10, 20, and 40 μg/mL concentrations of RFRA).
