System used for hydrostatic pressure experiments. The culture chamber was filled with medium. The height of the medium reservoir was adjusted to maintain the pressure in the culture. For gas exchange, the medium was circulated by a peristaltic pump, and the pressure was monitored with the pressure gauge. This figure is the modification of Figure  1 of Lei et al. [61] and Figure  1 of Obazawa et al. [73].
