Hepatic mRNA levels of TNF-alpha and MCP-1 in apoM^−/− mice and apoM^+/+ mice with or without LPS treatment. The mRNA levels of TNF-alpha (a) and MCP-1 (b) were similar in apoM^+/+ mice and apoM^−/− mice before LPS administration. After LPS treatment the hepatic mRNA levels of TNF-alpha and MCP-1 were dramatically increased in both apoM^+/+ and apoM^−/− mice. The mRNA levels in apoM^+/+ mice in the control group were considered as 100% ( 6~9, one-way ANOVA followed by Dunnett’s test, , , and versus apoM^+/+ or apoM^−/− control).
