PTEN expression in CAL62 and BCPAP cells transfected with antagomiRs 221/222 and then treated or not with HMGB1. Effect of antagomiRs 221 and 222 on PTEN expression. CAL62 and BCPAP cells were transfected with antagomiRs 221 and 222 (transfectants). 24 h after transfection, cells were cultured for 24, 48, and 72 h with or without the addition of 10 nM HMGB1. At the end of incubation times, the cell lysates were harvested and subjected to western blot analysis for PTEN protein expression. versus parental cells and transfectants; versus parental cells and transfectants with HMGB1; transfectants versus transfectants with HMGB1 were not statistically significative.
