Peritoneal Mϕs recognize Taenia crassiceps soluble products through MGL1. Mϕs from naïve MGL1+/+ or MGL1−/− mice were incubated with fluorescently labeled TcSol and fluorescence was analyzed by flow cytometry. (a) Representative dot blots indicate Mϕs from either MGL1+/+ or MGL1−/− mice, incubated for 30 minutes with TcSol at 37°C. (b) Percentage of TcSol-FITC positive naïve peritoneal cells exposed for 30 min. (c) Data are represented as the mean florescence intensity (MFI) of naïve Mϕs exposed to TcES-FITC.
