(a) The shadow area in the middle of cross-section is the objective PFC observed by electron microscope; compared to the TC group (b), the CSR group (c) showed that the number of mitochondria (thin arrows) was decreased and the structure of mitochondrial cristae was fuzzy and ruptured; the postsynaptic density (arrowheads) became much thinner or disappeared; the rough endoplasmic reticulum (thick arrows) structure(s) became fuzzy.
