Resistin Enhances Inflammatory Cytokine Production in Coronary Artery Tissues by Activating the NF-κB Signaling

Resistin stimulates TNF-α and IL-1β, depending on the NF-κB activation in HCAECs. HCAECs (/mL) were pretreated in triplicate with, or without, parthenolide (10 μM) or QNZ (40 nM) and stimulated in triplicate with Resistin (500 ng/mL) for 18 or 24 hours. The relative levels of TNF-α and IL-1β mRNA transcripts were determined by quantitative RT-PCR. Data are expressed as the mean ± SD of each group of cells from three separate experiments.
