Toxicity of wtSOD1 and mhSOD1/C111S to BHK cells in vivo. BHK cells were transfected with recombinant plasmids pcDNA3-wtSOD1 and pcDNA3-mhSOD1/C111S by using Lipofectamine 2000. The empty plasmid pcDNA3 was used as the negative control. Cell proliferation was assessed by CCK-8 method and SOD1s expression as soluble and insoluble forms was detected by Western blot 24 h and 48 h after transfection. compared between indicated groups.
