Question: How could we improve this podcast to better suit your needs in terms of career planning?

(i) Add a segment on…A day in the life of a geriatrician…What are the responsibilities? Can you be based in

a hospital, clinic, a nursing home or a combination of these? What unique challenges exist in geriatrics?

(ii) It would be great to see podcasts like this for other specialties

(iii) Involve some patients to express how much a geriatrician has impacted their life

(iv) Explain the different setting that geriatricians work in, include patients

(v) Talk about the number of positions available for residency. The level of competitiveness etc.

(vi) I liked hearing about how in the UK geriatrics is the 2nd most common specialty. For me this helped

normalize the decision of going into geriatrics and make it feel like a more popular choice.

(vii) This podcast is a unique and creative way to sell a specialty

(viii) This is a great start at a good level for students in medical school. It would be great to see podcast

like this for other specialties!
