Antioxidant Potential of Selected Korean Edible Plant Extracts

Antioxidant capabilities of CC, CJ, and VD extracts. The three extracts were examined for DPPH radical scavenging activity (a), ABTS radical scavenging activity (b), and FRAP (c) at various concentrations (1, 10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 μg/mL). α-Toc, α-tocopherol, is a positive control. Lipid peroxidation inhibitory activity (d) was measured at 1, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, and 500 μg/mL. N (number of independent experimental sessions) = 3; error bars, mean ± SEM. Statistical differences were indicated with asterisks for comparisons between two groups, CJ and CC or VD, at the given concentration.
