Anticancer Effect of a Novel Octahydropyrazino[2,1-a:5,4-a′]diisoquinoline Derivative and Its Synergistic Action with Nigella sativa in Human Gastric Cancer Cells

The loss of mitochondrial membrane potential of AGS gastric adenocarcinoma cells after 24 hours incubation with Nigella sativa seed oil (2.4 mg/mL), Nigella sativa seed extract (0.5 mg/mL), OM-90 (20 μM), etoposide (20 μM), Nigella sativa seed oil + OM-90 (2.4 mg/mL + 20 μM), Nigella sativa seed oil + etoposide (2.4 mg/mL + 20 μM), Nigella sativa seed methanolic extract + OM-90 (0.5 mg/mL + 20 μM), and Nigella sativa seed methanolic extract + etoposide (0.5 mg/mL + 20 μM) as measured JC-1 fluorescence. Mean percentage values from three independent experiments done in duplicate are presented.
