Plasma lipid levels in the mice. Plasma samples of ApoB100only/LDLR−/− and ApoE−/− mice taken at 1 week after the first (1x), second (2x), and third (3x) Cpn infection and at the end of the experiment (week 12) and from the noninfected control mice at the same time points were tested for concentration of (a) total cholesterol, (b) triglyceride, (c) LDL, and (d) HDL content.
