Growth kinetics of chimeric and parental viruses in chicken embryos. Recovery viruses were inoculated into the allantoic cavities of 9-day-old SPF chicken embryos at 100 EID50/0.1ml, and six chicken embryos were randomly selected at each time point including 24, 48, 72, 96, 120, and 144 h after inoculation. The allantoic fluid was collected and homogenized, and EID50 values were measured to determine the growth characteristics of viruses in chicken embryos.
