Effect of exposure to constant light during the last third of gestation on adrenal responsiveness to ACTH in vitro (mean ± SEM) of DHAS (upper panel) and cortisol (lower panel) in 10-month-old infants. Adrenal explants were incubated in medium alone (no-ACTH) or in presence of 100 nM ACTH (ACTH) during 48 h.
