Macrophage Depletion Improves Endothelial Insulin Resistance and Protects against Cardiovascular Injury in Salt-Sensitive Hypertension
The macrophage depletion by LEC improved endothelium-dependent relaxation to insulin (a, b) and acetylcholine (c) in hypertensive DS rats. (a) Insulin-induced vasorelaxation in the absence of NOS inhibitor L-NAME; (b) insulin-induced vasorelaxation in the presence of L-NAME. Statistical comparisons were performed by two-way ANOVA followed by the Bonferroni correction for multiple comparisons between groups. ND: no significant difference. , vs. NS group, # vs. HS group.
