Macrophage Depletion Improves Endothelial Insulin Resistance and Protects against Cardiovascular Injury in Salt-Sensitive Hypertension
The macrophage depletion by LEC reduced the ratio of phosphor-IκB/IκB (a), TNFα (b) and phosphor-JNK expression (c), and oxidative fluorescence intensity (d, e) in the aorta of hypertensive DS rats. The representative images of aortic sections stained with DHE for the evaluation of oxidative fluorescence intensity using a confocal fluorescence microscope (d); the quantification of average fluorescence intensities (e).
