Treatment with the Anisakis pegreffii extract (AE) increases inflammatory cell infiltration and mucus production. (b) In hematoxylin and eosin staining, some of the swollen lung sections were examined in a blinded fashion under a light microscope to evaluate the “inflammation score” of each section, which is a product of the severity and prevalence of inflammation.
