Chemo-Radiotherapy for Multimodality Treatment of Tumors 2022
Description
In recent years, research on how to treat tumors has reached an exciting new era. We are now investigating and applying multimodality treatments with multidisciplinary management.
To improve the quality of life of patients, it is essential for us to not only consider the therapeutic effects. We also need to think how to reduce side-toxic effects on the tumor-surrounding tissues and other organs. Non-operative comprehensive treatment, especially chemo-radiotherapy, has greatly improved the cure rate of patients with advanced cancer. Researchers all over the world have extensively studied tumor chemotherapy, radiotherapy and/or chemoradiotherapy. Further progress is being seen in both basic and clinical research.
The aim of this Special Issue is to bring together original research articles and review articles about advances in tumor chemo-radiotherapy. We hope that this Special Issue also addresses current research providing us new potential strategies for tumor multimodality treatment in basic and clinical settings.
Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:
- New strategies for clinical tumor chemotherapy or radiotherapy
- Sensitivity of patients or tumor cells to chemotherapy or radiotherapy
- Mechanism of tumor tolerance to chemo-radiotherapy
- Mechanism of radiosensitization in tumor cells
- Radiosensitizers
- New biomarkers related to tumor, chemotherapy or radiotherapy
- Biomaterial development and application for sensitizing chemo-radiotherapy
- Natural products and tumor therapy
- Epidemiological study of tumor chemo-radiotherapy
- Side-toxic effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy
- Repair of normal tissue injury caused by radiotherapy
- Factors influencing the sensitivity of tumor chemo-radiotherapy
- Cancer stem cells and chemo-radiotherapy
- Meta analysis of tumor therapy
