Animal Toxins and Their Advantages in Biotechnology and Pharmacology
Description
Animals toxins are materials used to understand the biology of animals that secrete. Research conducted with these toxins has helped in improving the understanding of the functioning of the pharmacological action of the components of these toxic materials in the bodies of their prey and has also helped in discovering several targets where their toxic components act. This increase in scientific knowledge has aided in the discovery of new therapeutic drugs for various purposes and also new procedures to help treat victims of poisoning from accidents with these animals. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Pharmacologic and biologic effects of animal toxins
- Bioactive peptides from animal toxins
- Natural products isolation and synthesis of the inhibitors of animal toxins
- Plants and other materials used in traditional medicine against animal toxins
- Use of biotechnology to produce new pharmaceutics and other supplies for the treatment of poisoning with animal toxins
- Venomics
- Dynamic, structure, and molecular modeling of proteins isolated from animal toxins
- Manufacture of toxins and derivatives used for therapy
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/bmri/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/bmri/toxicology/at/ according to the following timetable:
