Translational Research for Ischemic Stroke

Call for Papers

Stroke remains a major cause of disability and mortality worldwide, especially ischemic stroke that accounts for 70–80% of all stroke cases. Recent evidence of t-PA and thrombectomy encouraged stroke physicians, but the majority of severe ischemic stroke patients were not treated using these methods because they are out-of-indication. Researches ranging from basic to clinical can provide a breakthrough in ischemic stroke treatment.

We herein seek translational ischemic stroke research papers about not only humans but also cells. Any study that approaches the subject of improvements in the outcomes of stroke is acceptable in this special issue. We cordially invite you to contribute original research and review articles dealing with ischemic stroke.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Molecular approach about the ischemic stroke mechanism and/or treatment
  • Stem cell treatment for ischemic stroke
  • Animal model for investigation about the ischemic stroke
  • Clinical research about stroke
  • Public health management for the prevention of stroke
  • Global health analysis
