Catalysis of thrombin inhibition by anticoagulant bound to fibrin clots. Recalcified plasma clots were incubated with antithrombin (AT) + heparin (H), AT + high AT-affinity heparin (HAH) or antithrombin-heparin covalent complex (ATH), and increase in percent inhibition of soluble thrombin by AT calculated relative to clots in buffer. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM and n ≥ 4. , using the Tukey test (after one-way ANOVA) for determination of significant differences relative to ATH.
