Potential Properties of Plant Sprout Extracts on Amyloid β

Figure 7

Changes in the Thioflavin T fluorescence of BSA+D-ribose treated with plant sprouts’ aqueous extracts (PSAE). BSA (final concentration 10 mg/mL) in the presence of D-ribose (final concentration 1 M) was kept at 37°C in Tris-HCl buffer (pH 7.4). Thioflavin T (final concentration 30 μM) was mixed with samples of BSA+D-ribose+PSAE, as described in Section 2.7. The fluorescence intensity of Thioflavin T was recorded ( 430 nm; 465 nm). BSA and D-ribose were used as a control. Aliquots were taken for measurements of fluorescence spectra ( = 430 nm). Values are mean ± SD of the three measurements. compared with the controls.
