Inhibition of NF-κB by Dehydroxymethylepoxyquinomicin Suppresses Invasion and Synergistically Potentiates Temozolomide and γ-Radiation Cytotoxicity in Glioblastoma Cells

DHMEQ significantly reduced cell proliferation in time- and dose-dependent manners in all GBM cell lines; such effects were not observed in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) confirming once again the high selectivity of this drug. Cells were exposed to different concentrations of DHMEQ (2.5 to 20 μg/mL) and analyzed by using the XTT assay after 24, 48, and 72 h. All experiments were performed three times in triplicate.
