Abstract
Endoscopic sphi ncterotomy was performed in a 68-year-old female
patient with multiple stones in the common bile duct and cholangitis. Because the
extraction of all the stones was not achieved extracorporeal lithotripsy was performed.
Following fragmentation all the residual stones passed spontaneously and no complication
occurred.
