Superficial Collagen Fibril Modulus and Pericellular Fixed Charge Density Modulate Chondrocyte Volumetric Behaviour in Early Osteoarthritis

Osmotic pressure behavior is the same in both models. Note the change in the fibril strain and cell volume when the fixed charge density of the PCM is nearly equal to that of the chondrocyte (  mEq/mL).
