Clinical Decisions in Acute Patients: ACS–POCT–Hypertension and Biomarkers

Description

19-20 October 2012
Berlin, Germany

Aims and Scope

The 3rd Symposium Acute Cardiology http://www.schaeferevent.de/3-symposium-aktuelle-kardiologie.pdf aims to discuss new developments in the field of biomarker research in acute cardiology. The symposium covers a wide range of topics related to biomarker strategies for process optimization in acute coronary syndrome, acute heart failure, arterial hypertension, and biomarker monitoring in antithrombotic therapy and renal denervation therapy.

Acute and emergency medicine is developing into an independent clinical and scientific discipline. This is especially important, as increasing subspecialization in other medical specialist areas causes gaps in the care of acutely ill patients. As a consequence, interdisciplinary, networking, and process-oriented strategies are especially important in emergency medicine.

The conference aims to discuss new strategies in cardiovascular emergency care, as one of the areas where new pathways for process-orientation and innovative strategies are most important to improve patient management. These strategies will most likely include new pathophysiology-oriented biomarker strategies. The conference will therefore focus on discussing current and new biomarkers in acute cardiovascular patient care.

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/cpis/medicine/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/cpis/medicine/emergency.medicine/sac/ according to the following timetable:
